Adult Maker Series – Introduction to Machine Sewing

Parents – This is your chance to do a little something for yourself after ANOTHER action packed week of getting the kiddos off to school and ready for whatever they have going on that day. Sewing is a great way to unwind and be productive at the same time. You won’t believe the sense of accomplishment you feel after completing your first project. During this three session series, you will learn the basics of machine sewing while creating three really cute and fun projects to use for yourself or gift.

Techniques taught during the class:
- Threading a sewing machine
- Winding a bobbin
- Adjusting stitch length and width
- Cutting fabric according to pattern instructions
- Sewing in a straight line and pivoting around corners
- Inserting a zipper
- Embellishing fabric with appliqué
- Finishing seam allowances
- Using Interfacing

All classes require registration and prepayment. Due to the small class size, refunds are not available. We do understand that things happen, so cancellations made 72 hours prior to the day of class will be issued a credit to apply toward a future class. Cancellations made less than 72 hours prior to the day of the class or no shows will forfeit their class fees.
We require a minimum of three students for a class to be held. In the event we do not meet the minimum, your fees will be fully refunded.
